Weekend Edition: Content is the source of all lead generation
A bunch of morsels to hone your lead generation skills
You made it to the weekend.
How was your week? What were you focused on? What are your top priorities in 2022?
Hit reply, I’d love to know. Your feedback helps me shape this newsletter for you.
This week was pretty crazy from a sales and marketing perspective at Kaleidico, my lead generation agency.
Leads are pouring in from a variety of sources, but all of them can be traced to content.
Early 2022 is already yielding from a strategy I initiated towards the end of last year.
Check the thread out for the details of my strategy and stay tuned as I continue to document the process.
It’s a reminder that content, lots of content, created with a reasonable level of skill and strategy is a guaranteed audience builder and lead generator.
Here is the proof, and we’re just getting started.
From December 13th through yesterday, compared to the previous period.
By the way, keep in mind that a big chunk of the period from December 13th through today was the US Christmas and New Year holidays.
We’ll get deeper into how I did this over the next several weeks.
But, today’s Saturday.
So, let me give you a few light fun recommendations that will still hone your lead generation chops.
Online Lead Generation Requires a Mountain of Content. Create your machine today.
The top producers of the future with be exceptional copywriters and content producers.
One of the secrets to being a great writer and publisher (even more important) is creating habits, routines, and systems that keep you pumping out material.
This interview with Jerry Seinfeld is famous for his calendar streak strategy.

Why Write Sales Scripts?
Check out my Sales Script essay.
Sales scriptwriting will not only improve your sales pitches but will generate a ton of content ideas.
I think of my online content as pre-sales material.
Everything my prospect reads or watches from me prior to filling out a lead form or showing up to a discovery call (that’s what I call all my sales calls) aligns them with me philosophically.
Typically, they come pre-sold - believers in my thing. Now we just need to settle on a fair price and the logistics of getting started.
However, as I’m writing that sales script and knowing that I want them pre-sold I’m going to end up with a laundry list of gaps that I need to fill with pre-sales content.
Content that I need to create and get out into the world for discovery.
