Most folks would look at this home page…

Versus this website…

And, believe that they would generate the same number of leads.

This quick visual analysis and assumption are what frustrates many executives and business owners about their website.

These two websites from landing page to form completion will perform very differently. Typically, 10x different. Often the difference is even more dramatic.

This website went from generating 0 leads…

…to generating 100s of leads a month.

Alright, enough teasing, let’s show you the secrets we (Kaleidico) use to 10x clients’ website leads.

Are you frustrated with your website?

Most websites cost a lot of money and don’t generate a single lead.

The problem is obvious, given a bit of thought. Your website was probably not designed to generate leads.

1. Create a strong, clear positioning statement

This advice applies to your home page and each landing page. Template: “I (we) do [something our target audience needs or wants] for [niched down customer].

2. Create Lead Paths

Lead paths are survey-style progressive forms, NOT a traditional web form. This type of form moves the prospect through the form faster, collects more information for sales, and produces a higher quality, more accurate lead.

3. Add a secondary capture opportunity.

This secondary offer should be a compelling newsletter they can subscribe to, or even better, a valuable lead magnet they can download in exchange for becoming a subscriber.

4. Create a Next Steps page instead of a Thank You page

By following up with the next steps, you give your inquiring prospect a clear understanding of what they can expect from you and the roadmap to getting the product or service they want. Thank You pages feel like goodbyes.

5. Invest time and effort into creating an excellent newsletter

Most of your leads will not convert in the next 30 days, but if you nurture them, most will over the next six months to a year, and some will transact multiple times.

Bonus Tip: UX Design is critical to making websites intuitive and straightforward. Professional design inspires confidence in the consumer and encourages them to engage. Invest in design.

That's all for this week. My hope is that this brief 90-second read will improve your sales and marketing outcomes.

If you are enjoying this newsletter, the best compliment you could pay me would be to share it with others on Twitter.

See you again next week.

Cheers,

Bill
